Ulrich Stoll is one of the artists to be classified in the category "Paintings of the forgotten generation".

Starting in 1947 he studied graphics and painting at the "Werkschule Trier" and created about 400 works of arts in his short, creative period. At the age of only 29, he died as a result of polio.

This quote from Rainer Maria Rilke became the motto for his life. (see left)

In recent years Stoll's nephew, Ulrich Burkhardt, has collected the oeuvre of the painter through painstaking effort. Convinced that Ulrich Stoll deserves a place among the outstanding artists of the postwar era, his life and work is now, decades after his death, presented to the world in this way.
